I have learned quite a few tips and tricks from Nathan at Unity Farms when it comes to regenerative ranching. He is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to fencing, water systems, and herd management as well as being a very humble and down to earth person. Whether you’re looking for high quality grass finished beef or have any questions regarding regenerative farming practices Nathan and his crew at Unity Farms are more than happy to help. I highly recommend the products and services they provide!

Our family was looking for an all-natural source of beef when we found Unity Farms. Their website was easy to order from and had a lot of selections for us to choose from. When we first went to the farm store, we were amazed to learn about rotational grazing. It’s a difference you can taste, and I know my family are getting the freshest and best beef you can buy.

I am the manager at the Harrodsburg Southern States co-op. I am also a cattle producer and work with various farmers throughout the county. This is how I met Nathan Hahn and was first introduced to Unity Farms. Nathan and I have had many conversations about business, agriculture, and mutual interests. What I like about Nathan is that he forms his own opinions and stays educated on a wide array of topics. He is driven to build a successful cattle operation and open minded to best management techniques. This is what motivated me to come see Unity Farms for myself. One of the first observations I had is how well upkept and organized Nathan’s farm is. Nathan has taught me some new ideas and inspired me to be more open minded in my own approached to cattle production.

For Unity Farms, it is more of a wholistic approach to farm profitability. Nathan incorporates all facets of the business into integrated resource management. For example, he has chosen South Poll cattle genetics because he feels they are well-suited for a heavy rotational system and he is able to market the beef direct to customers. I have personally seen the development of topsoil and organic matter from his rotational grazing. We have pulled soil samples together and observed the difference in shaded areas and places where he has unrolled hay. Nutrient recycling and microbial activity seem to be the foundation for maximizing forage availability. One other unique observation about the operation was mineral feeding. Nathan feeds his trace minerals in separate boxes, free choice. This way, Nathan can observe obvious deficiencies in their diet and manage the minerals more directly.

Nathan has impressed me with his Timeless Fence as well as the water lines which mobilize water supply much easier. Everything is very well thought out. I am excited to see Nathan grow his operation and become a great ambassador for agriculture. Nathan and Unity Farms have a bright future ahead and I hope to build a strong relationship with Nathan during his journey.
